Ah... The San Francisco Zoo... fun time!

This was my kids' first trip to the San Francisco Zoo, and they had a great time! Although, we arrived there a little late in the afternoon, we were still able to get in some great sights. My son Luca (age 2) loved the penguins and my darling Leah (age 3) loved swinging from a tree and running around. I don't think she was all that interested. Regardless, she still had a great time looking at the animals and running around like a wild monkey with her super active little brother. She really was waiting for a ride on the carousel but I had no idea where it was until we were about to leave; and by that time, they were already closed. Oh well... it just means another visit is in order. : )

The admission was fairly reasonable. Adult San Francisco residents are $12 and non-residents are $15 and children 3 and under are FREE. Yay... what every stay-at-home mom wants to see and hear. LOL! Right now they are open everyday 10am - 4pm. If you are interested in more info regarding their hours, tours and pricing; check out their site: http://www.sfzoo.org/plan-hours-prices.

There were peacocks just floating about everywhere. Leah kept insisting that they were following us. After that, I kept viewing them as big pigeons. Big beautiful pigeons.

Towards the end of our visit and in front of the polar bear exhibit, we witnessed a little mouse zooming about. The kids got more excited at that sighting then any other animal exhibit. The little mouse was busy trying to find items for its nest. It kept zipping back and forth looking for dried grass or greenery that it could easily snatch away. The mouse was apparently very focused and unafraid of my children who were making a big racket screaming and jumping around in excitement. At one point, Luca looks up and says to me, "I want it." Hahaha... NOT!
